The topic is misleading, but i have a broken CV boot and i have been driving on it for a long time now (maybe 3000 miles). I figgured that by this time there is no possibility to replace the boot. I was wondering with all these new stronger axles, should i replace my stock one with one of these? If so, what brand do you suggest or should i stick with stock? Thanks in advance!

 

Ya shoulda just replaced the boot a while ago and your headache would be done and cost you only $30.

Stock axles here but, I can tell you someone who continually busts axles, (amongst other things) has tried several aftermarket ones and busted them too!

So I can't recommend anything other than stock. I do not recommend remanned units though. Maybe it's just me but, I've been shown remanned quality and it is usually ham fisted and pieced together so it just about turns.

Why would it not be possible to replace just the boot? Just because you've been driving on it? If there's nothing wrong with the joints and you can hear any grinding, then you can replace just the boots.

Unless you plan on putting down mad power to the wheels, I wouldn't worry about aftermarket axles. Or if you're going to be running slicks with decent power.

 

I have some raxle.com axles for sale right now and will fit onto 94-01 integras.

They should handle as much power as you put to them...unless you go high boost.

Axles are for a 92-95 Civic WITH a b20 swap.
