I am new to the terms that you guys use and was wondering you could clarify a few.

ZC what dose that mean
What is the differance between a D16 and a B16
What dose EF mean

I am sure I willl find more but that is all right now

 

zc is a single or dual cam d series motor over in japan
ef = 88-91 model year honda civics
d16 is a single cam d series block no vtec
b16 is a dual cam b series block with vtec

 

zc,d16,b16 are the engine codes i dont know much about zc but i know that its a jdm motor.......jdm is short for japanese domestic market and a d16 is what comes in a stock civic si or crx si...it is a single over head cam engine that produces around 108 base horse power 1.6 liter non-vtec.........the b16 is a jdm engine that is dual over head cam 160 horsepower vtec engine and ef is the model of the car 88-91 is ef,92-96 is an eg i believe you get the point?
