i never worked on imports before and never personally did a head gasket on a domestic but i heard its a pian in the a!! AND VERY EXPENSIVE if have some else do it is it the same for this modle honda and whats the worst to happen if i drive on it
he blew the HG and it prolly needs a thermostat. who cares. I have a d15 for sale that will bolt right in. 150+ shippin. runs strong. I mean the d16s/d15s are so easy to come by! dont worry bout it, just put in a new HG or put in my motor

Go to hasport.com for swap info, also check out my site. A b16a swap is basically the same swap as a b18a, minus the vtec wiring. Hope this helped. Ryan

99.999% sure that is the cause. change the head gasket and the temp sensor and you are good to go.

b series motors=1.6-2.0 dohc motors w or w/o vtec
for and d series swap u need a d series tranny
for any b series swap u need a b series tranny
also ur car would need a mount kit different axles different tranny, ecu, and different shift linkages to put any b series motor in ur car when shoppin look for a cable tranny not hydro

The d15 will bolt in but he has mpfi and the d15 has dpfi so unless he wants to do the conv on the motor id jus look for another a6 or swap to something better.

Stock motors are kinda gutlas anyway. It is just a reason to do a swap in it. When I bought my efs, I got the car and a swap the first week. Car on monday motor swap on friday. He did blow the head gasket by the way but I'm sure you know that by now. It's not stock motors are junk or anything, but if ya wanna fly, gotta buy.

He could run the D16 intake manifold on the D15 couldn't he? I have a friend who did that I beleive he just swapped manifolds I don't beleive he swapped heads. Then you can D15MPFI.
