GC installation help!
Just installed my ground controls on my 01 gsr today. Just doublechecking, cause it didn't come with instructions. There are 2 pairs, a pair which the springs are smaller (shorter or less coils) ane the other pair which is longer (more coils) which is for front and which is for rear? Right now my bigger coilovers are in the rear. BTW one more question. The car feels firm and sometimes bouncy on a normal road with minor bumps. When i come to a larger bump or a minor pothole, it makes a loud thump sound. Sounds almost like i'm bottomin out but i can't tell. Is this normal? I lowered the front about 1.5 to 2". I"m still runnin stock shocks. Oh and i didn't cut the bumpstop in half in the front like i was supposed too. Could that be it? (less travel distance for the shock) Please respond! THX!

Ok what's up!? I know i'm not the only one out there with gc's! All i needed to know was if the taller coilover sits in the front or rear. No one's responding!!! Actually there's one more problem but that's written above. I'm not gonna type it out again cause it seems no one is reading it anyways! Well, if anyone can help, it would be very appreatiated! Plz respond. THX!
The thump sound is you hitting your bumpstops. pull the coilovers off, cut the bumpstops like the directions say, put them back on. if you still hit the bumpstop, your car is too low. Once shock travel falls below a certain length, the shocks can no longer perform effectively. if you like your car slammed, check out the new shock tower mounts GC came out with. they add another inch or so of shock travel.

The reason your car is bouncy is because you are still running stock shocks. Swap the springs and put the taller ones up front and I think most of your problems will go away.

yes, you have to cut the bump stops, also be sure your gc's are set right, use a ruler.
you will need new shocks soon, i have the sp3 knoi yellows, and i love them.
