Default when installing new cam shaft can i use regular oil to lube it?

i hear u should use cam shaft lube but will regular oil work? its a SOHC z6 head.

You can but i would use the cam lube to be safer.

when i installed gsr cams into the b16 i used oil when i did my ef-1 cams i used cam lube, mainly because it came with it. lol if it didn't come with it i would probbaly have used oil.

but i'm assuming they make cam lube for a reason, so i would say use that its not expensive to buy some .... good luck
