im in the same situation that you are in i guess...getting a bike very soon and i've decided on a 01 cbr 600 f4i. i've heard that its the most comfortable bikes out there and very easy to ride..especially for beginners like us. You can also consider a r6 but i dont hear many good things about beginners and r6's..anyhow..good luck with your decision

Deja Vu....How much you looking to spend? What type of bike sport, touring, cruiser etc... Sign up for the MSF course now. I don't know about in your area, but around here they are always booked.

heh..im in exactly the same spot as you guys are..I just completed the MSF course this past weekend, and if you havent taken it, id highly recommend it. I had never even sat on a bike before the class, and i learned so much and did really well on the end examination.

Whatever happened to Ninja 250s and 500s, now a days it seems like good "beginner" bikes are F4i's and R6s. What's up with that?

"Walk before you crawl" syndrome

Seriously, an F4 is a good beginner sport bike. ANY motorcycle can get you in trouble if you're not carefull. You guys are doing the right thing by taking the MSF course.

Although they both make about the same amount of power. The R6 is a little more extreme. The YZF600R is also a good beginner sportbike, as well as an outstanding all around sportbike.
