Crower stage 2 cam in Y8?
Anyone runnning a Crower cam in their sohc vtec Z6 or Y8? I've got a stage 2 in my 99 EX Civic w/ I/H/E, t/b, P28 ecu, ignition and VAFC. My problem is I can't get rid of a lean condition from idle to around 2-2500 rpm. The cam has some overlap so the intake manifold vacuum is around 13-14 at idle. Therefore it runs really rich at idle, so I have to lean out the VAFC -30% to get it to idle properly. I'm running around 38 psi fuel pressure at idle, if I lower fuel pressure instead of leaning out the VAFC, it still runs really lean off idle and bogs until above 2500rpm. Cam gear is set at zero degrees, timing is spot on. Anyone running a Crower or other cam with a lumpy idle that has experienced this problem. Can anybody share their set up if they are running a big cam like this. I know I need to have it dyno tuned, but I'm on disability now because I broke my wrist, so I can't afford it now. Thanks
