i wouldn't be so pissed if they hadn't broken the paint... and creased the bumper. jerks.

yeah... my car was out of my possestion for two weeks for warrenty work. i picked it up on friday, and when i washed it this weekend i noticed the little suprise left for me.
notice the fine scratch marks as if someone tried to sand it out.
i just hope they don't give me some bullshit line about how they aren't responsible for this and that. this particular dealership is rather difficult to work with sometimes. it's dissapointing that they are the only acura dealership in town.
i'm pissed. believe it.

yep... I would raise holyhell with those people. There is now way that I would go with a blemish on my car like that.
I would make it a point to talk to all the managers and not leave until you have an answer/solution that satisfys you!
Dont back down from those ******** on the first try. People always give up when the salesmen or service rep says... sorry sir we can do nithing about it. Then be like ohh no... well I think your manager can do something about it.
dont give up.

Threaten to sue the **** out of them and they will get the point. I wouldn't have even left that dealership until I checked out the car fully. I think you should go there and ask the manager if he thought you wouldn't notice. ******* bastards.
update:
i called the dealership this morning and it seems the service manager is out until thursday; which is great because i'm going out of town on thursday.
so far, no help at all. just as i expected. jive turkeys.

what is it with acura dealerships these days ? I had a similar experience at my local dealership (the only one in town), but they offered to have it repainted. Although they've been a really big pain when it comes to other problems that I've had with the car. I hate shady people and dealerships.
cush acura/jag/austinmartin in san diego. i had some body work done (to fix a spot of rust in the trunk) and they sent it to their body shop at cush acura escondido.
as i already stated, they had the car for nearly two weeks. transfering the car between two dealerships 30miles apart obviously increases the chance of incident... i don't even know what specific dealer caused the damage.
at this point, it looks as if i have no other choice but to wait until thursday to see what is going to happen.

i picked up the car on friday: changed the oil, rotated the tires... by the time i washed it and noticed the damage, it was after closing time. taking it in saturday wouldn't have done me any good.
i contacted them first thing monday morning. they better not pull any of the crap you are suggesting they might.

keep trying to get in touch with someone there. if they try to say you have had the car out of the shop for awhile now and its not their fault, just make sure to tell them that you have been trying to contact them over that span of time and kept getting the run around. good luck

From personal experience: I picked up a brand new Mercedes in 1997. The dealership is about 5 miles away and my way back was all local roads with speed limit no more than 35 mph. As soon as I got home, I found a quite big rock chip on the windshield. I called back the dealership right away but needless to say, they basically told me to fornicate myself.
I contacted the corporate, they called me back, and the best suggestion they could give me was to split the cost between me and the dealership. WTF? Honestly I didn't care about the cost if I screwed it up. But I didn't. I didn't take up their "offer" and just drove my car like I didn't see the chip for the next 6 years.....
Bottom line, I didn't see it before I drove it off the lot. It sucked.

that does indeed suck, but a windshield crack is a bit different than the situation i'm in... there is no way in hell a rock could have caused this kind of damage.
