Is it my Idle Air Control Valve?
Hi guys,
Done many searches and read many pages of text. I have any idea but would like some additional input/feedback. I have a surging idle from 1000 -1500 rpm, constantly bounces back and forth. I have done the following: replaced Fast Idle Thermo Valve, checked TPS voltage - which is accurate, checked for vacuum leaks - no leaks, checked intake manifold gasket - no leaks. Now, when I disconnect my Idle Air Control Valve sensor, the car idles perfectly. IS this really the cuplrit to my surging idle? I don't want to have to pay around $200 bones for a new one. Is there anyway to open this up and take a look inside and possibly fix this?
Any feedback or suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

There was a post about this about a month or two ago, the guy just used some carb cleaner and cleaned the screen out and his car idled fine again. I cant find the link for it, does anybody else know what I am talking about or have that link?
Can someone tell me if I un-hook the IACV sensor plug, is the engine supposed to idle still or should the engine die?
