Default How safe is the ITRCA registry?

I finally updated my mods list, and as I was finishing I thought that maybe it wasn't such a good idea to put all that info out there. Am I just being paranoid?

I don't know, how "safe" it is, but thanks to this post it is now only as safe as Honda-Tech is.

I like to know to whom I divulge information about my cars.

That's just MHO though.

I don't think people can track you down by knowing your mod list and what city you're from.

And yet, what's the point of advertising?

No one needs to know what you have.

Safe in what way? Are you concerned about someone getting into our database or just the fact you posted something? You see more advertising on the forums here and other places that woudl draw much more attention than the registry would.

As for advertising mods if you are going to advertise accomplishments and activities with your car listing what has been changed makes it easier to quantify the effort.

I don't think the Registry is unsafe at all but I also don't mind having a webpage about my car.

in addition, people who might be considering the same mod have a definite resource/contact to get an opinion from a current owner..

why is it a big deal if other ITR owners know what you have? planning on streetracing and refusing to pop the hood, yo?!

oh.. and finding your car based on your registry entry would not be easy, if possible..
