Hard shifting and annoying gas pedal please help!
HI, i pretty recently bought a 98 civic ex. Shifting was fine for the first few weeks i had it, but very quickly got very hard to shift from first to 2nd, i relaly have to muscle it and the clutch is all the way in. Also to downshift to 2nd i need to be going about 15 before it goes in wihtout really pulling, or reving the engine a lot. What is wrong? could the dealer have put a quick temporary fix on the clutch or something? also i know its like this in all civics, but is there anyway to make the gas pedal easier and smoother to push down. i find it difficult to rev the engine just a tiny bit, its like the pedal sticks at the top and then its fine, any ideas of what to lube up? thanks al ot
Anyone have any ideas? its under warranty so it could get fixed for free, but i want to know if there is actually anything wrong that they woudl fix, thanks
I would just take it to the dealer you got it from and tell them what your experiencing. Its a hydrolic clutch so check the fluid, but i doubt thats your problem, maybe check the bolts that acutally hold the pedals in place and see if there too tight. Beyond me guy...

Do you know how to drive stick pretty well? Not trying to offend, just asking. Second is a pain to get into for me too. Same with 3rd though.

If it's under warranty, why screw with it? Take it to the dealer and make them fix it. You'll know if it's fixed as soon as you drive it.
