1st quarter mile passes last night
last night i made my first 1/4 mile passes in the hatch.
1st pass 12.31 @109 w/1.78 60' (didnt burn out good enough and tires were still wet)
2nd pass 12.28 @106 w/1.64 60'
3rd pass 12.15 @109 w/1.63 60'
4th pass 12.61 @108 w/1.63 60' misshift 1-2
pretty damn respectable, for being untuned on pump gas with stock timing. i cant complain. hopefully some tuning will put me in the 11s.

that is a killer setup and you hit some pretty amazing times. good job almost 11's
one more mod or just some better tuning and 11's easily keep it up

Nice. A guy in my area has a similar motor to your's and ran 12.87 in a coupe thats about 500lb heavier. About how much did that motor build cost you?

Sorry about that. I just read the times. I wasn't meaning to sound offensive, I was just wondering since I had never heard of a track that didn't have the hundredth digit.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Re: 1st quarter mile passes last night (JSPECEX)
i agree, this car has been untuned for the second yr now. last yr full sheet metal and glass i ran 12.6 weighing in at 2000lbs. cam gears are set at 0,0, FP is only at a guestimate PSI because no "tuner" could tell me what a good pressure was. i talked to all the knowledgable HT "tuners" with great reputations and all gave me different answers. im looking to swap headers but havent decided which one.
suspension is skunk 2 drag coils on stock shocks.

ok ill answer this best as i can because when i built this motor i already had the block, head and cams. so basically it didnt cost me much cause i had all the expensive stuff. the actual rods, pistons, OEM bearings prolly ran me around $1100. machine work, disassemble, inspect, balance, bore, hone cost me $225. i assembled the block, head, etc myself. if i had to do it all over again it would prolly cost me around 6k or more to buy a block, head, tranny, all parts included.

Re: 1st quarter mile passes last night (hondaatwsu)
What elevation are you running at and how were the track/weather conditions?
Also is the 1700lbs with or without the driver?
Those are very respectable times for an untuned motor. 11's should come easy with some tuning...
