VX ECU issues with d16z6
:repost, hybrid section not getting any looks:
Sup guys, just got the swap completed this wkend. I did a search, so dont wack me
Here's what's happening:
Stock CX ecu on the motor...no VTEC engagement, correct?
VX ecu on the motor(that's the only ECU I have) ...it's an auto ECU so it's throwing up an engine light b/c it's looking for auto crap, right? I should be looking for a z6 ECU so I can get the correct VTEC engagement, etc, correct me if I'm wrong.

unless the P07 is JDM it should be 5spd. you're getting a code becuase:
1> lack of EGR
2>lack of 5 wire/wide band 02
3>very lean running maps and extrmely low vtec (2.5k rpm)
yes P28 is the optimal ECU. other choices are JDM p08/P91/P70
