i've got 91 dx hatch with 1.5 but its only a 4 spd was wondering can i switch the 5 spd si hatchs clutch and tranny to make my 4 spd a 5 spd or any other way to do it with out haveing to swap the whole engine or is there an engine that i can swap with out have to do the mpfi convesion

 

You can swap with a dx 5 speed transmission, the si tranny is a little different so it wont be as easy. it has to do with the number of splines. if you use the dx 5 speed the clutch and axles should transfer right over. hope this will help, i am doing the exact conversion right now with a 89 hatch std 4 spd to the dx 5 spd
