Any way to pull rear crx windows with out breaking them?
I did a search and really didnt get a definitve answer. Reason I ask is because some fock face thought it would be cute to break out my rear passanger side window. I found a rex at the "yard" today with both rear windows in place and both just so happened to be tinted. So being the broke bastard I am and just wanting to pay install to get the windows put in I was wondering if I have any way of yanking the rear windows on the rex at the yard so that they can carry on life in my rex. HUGE thanks in advance for any help with this.
I would try to not be cheap but fact of the matter is I am being quoted 200+ to get one replaced and I just really dont have it right now. My window has been broken for close to 4 months now and I am really tired of it.
yes you can remove the rear quarter windows and it should cost you about 20 dollars instead of 200. Go to your local automotive paint store such as Carquest and look for a metal wire called piano wire. What you do is feed the wire through from the outside to the inside and use it basically to saw through the urethane that holds the inside of the glass in place. After you saw through it, get a tube of urethene and use that to hold the window back in place. Be careful to not chip the edges of the glass because that will cause it to split and dont try prying it out or anthing like that cause it will bust.
