Default FINALLY, i'm about to order my swap from HMO, one question though!

Ok, tomorrow (monday) I will be placing an order for a jdm itr motor from hmotorsonline and when using a credit card, according to their website, it must be shipped the the billing address. I thought, no biggy, but how the HELL will i get the Engine over to the shop? No, i do not have a cherry picker or anything like that. Help.

I thiiink what he's trying to ask is that since they ship to the biling address, and the billing address is his house, how is he going to get the motor to his shop, right?

call all your buds over for "beer" and then make em lift it into a car - drive car + motor over..

if you dont have strong friends - bring it piece by piece.. tranny and then longblock..

Yeah, just get like two friends to come over with a truck and do it that way. Me and two of my friends moved a complete b16 swap with axles and everything out of my truck. They aren't all that heavy.

Edit : Be carefull though, and don't drop it

It comes on a pallet with everything wrapped up very nicely, just find someone you know with a pickup and it'll fit fine on the back. Takes about 3-4 people to get the motor on there.

While you're waiting the week or two for your swap, make sure to run around and get all the little stuff you might need, unless the shop will have everything for you.

Also, make sure to ask Steve to include a receipt with the motor. I bought mine a few months ago and still haven't gotten a receipt.

I would be more worried about how to get the motor off of the truck considering that you do not have a cherry picker...also...be more worried about how do you know when exactly the motor will be arriving..so that you can be home for the delivery...

Khoi

P.S..no the truck carrier does not have a lift to help get that motor off....Unless you pay extra for that service....My friend had a motor shipped from HMO and he needed 6 people to carry the motor off the truck and into his garage..BwahaaHAhaHA

Khoi

Steve charges 3.5% more if you use a credit card, plus like you said it has to go to the billing address. All I did was cut a check and sent it FedEx overnight to him. Just as fast as the credit card and I got to tell him where to ship it to. It is only 75 more dollars to have the shippers bring the unloading equipment. BTY the shipping is very quick. It shipped out last Thursday and will be here tomorrow. From CA to VA.

you could just have the shop buy the motor for you.

What you have to do is call the number on the back of your card and add the adress of the shope to it..some companies will add a adress temporarily...i have to do when i order because i have a po box and phyisical add is diffrent

there is the correct answer. add a 2nd address to your card as a shipping address. Then the card will clear at HMO. See, they verify that the motor is being shipped to the card holder by matching the name, number, and address. If you have the other address, then you can have it shipped to the shop. Problem solved

find someone with an SUV or Truck.

takes 3 ppl to lift the motor with out strain.

2 ppl if you two are strong.

its not that heavy.

Loaded directly from the shipping truck into a suburban. Took 3 people (with the help of the truck driver).

I got mine shipped HMO and the guy brought the equipment no extra charge. He even put it in my garage for me. I would pay cashiers check if I were you, cause if you pay CC, you get an extra charge, 3.5% I think someone said.
