Well ive been doing searches and I was wondering if 3 inch piping would be good with my turbo setup. Im only boosting 7psi on stock internals soon to boost 8-9 tuned. Is it a good idea if i run 3 inches from the downpipe n back? If so, i cant seem to find any aftermarket product with turbo application for my car. HKS does not make Turbo exhaust for an ITR. What would you guys suggest? im on 2.5" from down pipe n back.

I was also told that bigger is better when going turbo. Expecially if you are running HIGHer PSI.
But you won't notice THAT much if you are running a 3 inch toa 2.5 inch if you are only running 4 psi of boost, but with 10 psi, there will be a lot more to make use of.
That is what I was told anyway.

Is there any aftermarket exhaust system that has 3" piping?

when I installed my turbo I was running a 5zigen fireball with 7 psi. i was running no cat and no resonator as well. after raising the boost to 9psi i decided to go with a 3inch stainless custom system with an Apex n1 muffler. the first thing I noticed was vacuum to boost transition was alot faster and smoother. i can't tell you about power, although the car was faster because i did raise the boost. plus the exhaust note was much throatier with the 3 inch system.

we have several ppl order 3" as well as a few with light boost going 2.5. if you can id say go 3" if you plan to boost w/ some decent numbers.. if your going to stay 6psi and never really go up, then a 2.5" might be able to get you by, but if your buying a new system.. depending on total HP and flow numbers.. different for someone with a boosted crx or civic as to someone with a boosted prelude or gsr. I suggest a 3" exhaust.

go with 3" exhaust all the way back, either Thermal catback or KTeller8's 3" system. both are really nice, good quality. normally KTeller8's system is much cheaper then getting the Thermal new.
don't do 2.5" and then realize that 3" would have been better. it'll make a difference even with "only" 7-9# of boost.
