D16Z 8000rpm 11.5:1 C/R with standart rods
will it be save to run d16z to almost 8000rpm , 11.5:1 C/R on standart conrod??
what the higest C/R to run on 92 octane gasoline??
what is the wildest cams for this engine?? (the spec pls)
that is alot of compression for stock rods dude.... and to go to 8k i would think you would have to have some head work done.. like better valve springs and retainers or something. but im not positive on any of this. i mean. i have a d16z6 on 10psi... so how ever much compression that makes? on stock rods...could be more.heh. i would like to know how to make it dafe to redline at 8k though
yes standard rod can take 8k rpm for a while.
how high of c/r on 92 octane will depend on many things, from head design to ECU/ignition timing, fuel setting to overall design of the pistons and the combustion chamber
check http://www.crower.com they offer many race cams as well custom made cams if you want more lift or duration then you see.

I will be running about 11:1 compression with LS rods and a6 pistons. I wouldnt trust the d-series toothpicks past 7k rpm's.
