Sorry if this is a repost, and it is off topic... but Alex Zanardi is my favorite driver of all time and it was really nice to see him on the tracks again (even if it was only 13 laps) He was there to complete the final 13 laps that he couldn't finish because of a tragic accident that happend nearly 2 years ago...If this had been a qualifying run in a real race, he would have been 5th on the grid!


He's driving a Ford powered Reynard in the video, but Alex has always been a Honda driver

that was a very sad day, 2 years ago... its amazing he can drive. I think people forget how fast 200 mph is, that was kind of a wake up ... particularly since of all people it was zanardi

 

i watched that on tv , pretty amazing that he was able to drive again . to bad he wont be able to race anymore in competition

he was exiting the pits when he lost control and spun up onto the track and a car hit his in the side at 200 miles an hour. cut his legs off. alex was definetly my favorite driver in cart. good to see him take those last laps.
