which is actually better? its the t3/t4b kit, on t4e. an comments on the turbo or kit would be awesome!
I think it really depends what they put in the box. Sometimes u get a Turbonetics and sometimes u get a Precision. I got a Turbonetices with my 2C kit
bringing a post back from the dead, i cant find the specs on my turbo
the kit says its this
Rev Hard T3/T04B Hybrid Turbo
and the exhaust says this
20358-73
.63 std trim
does that mean the cold side is .73 and the hot side is .63?

look inside your compressor outlet...there should be a number stamped there. That'll be your compressor wheel trim
That is some crap, I didnt know rev hard uses turbonetics. Damn what is the big deal with turbonetics. I wanted to get a rev hard kit cauz i thought it came with a rev hard turbo like it says on the website... ****! Also, there is no longer a stage 2c kit only stage 2 and it comes with a T3/T04E Hybrid. What turbo kit companies don't use turbonetics?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Whats wrong with the turbonetics, I heard they are better than the garrett turbos, like the drg kits come with.
Can anyone give a website of the turbo sizes from small to large, on turbonetics websit it lists them like this:
T3,T04B,T04E,60-1, 60-2, T58,T61,&T66

I recently emailed revhard about this issue. This is what was written straight from my email.
Me:
Hi, I was wondering what brand of turbos you ship your turbo kits out with. On the website it says "Rev Hard T3/T04E Hybrid Turbo." Do you make your own turbos? I have heard you either ship the kits with turbonetics or precision and that it is just the luck of the draw as to which turbo you received... is this true?
Thanks!
Rev Hard: Yes, we don't specify on the website because not all of the kits are the same turbos. Most of the turbos are Precision, but a couple of the kits have turbonetics instead. If you would like to know for sure, please specify which kit you are inquiring about.
Me: Sorry about that, I am asking about a 1997 Prelude turbo kit. So, which turbo would come with that?
Thanks!
Rev Hard: Precision sc34

Question? How many turbos have you installed or have you done any dynoing on turbo?
The reason why I am asking is you are puting down real companies that actually do dynoing on what they manufacture or what they sell. There is nothing wrong with turbonetics, it's true percision is better in most ways but there is nothing wrong with turbonetics or Rev Hard.
I personally run the greddy system, I'm not happy with it but when you get kits to test for free you normally don't complain. I would rather pay for the Rev Hard kit rather than getting the GReddy kit for free. It just doesn't produce the power I want.

I wish I had a turbo kit. Right now I am just trying to get the most information possible on turboing a prelude. Since the topic was being discussed I decided to go ahead and email revhard about the issue. I really like revhard kits from what I have seen and read about. One of the reasons i wanted to go with revhard was because i thought they did not use turbonetics.
Thanks!

I would never turn down a FREE greddy kit to test??? You are crazy! Must be nice not haveing to pay for a 3k$ product! Do you have a built motor that can handel more boost? I personly have only installed/worked on 6 or 7 set ups but that is not the point. I am not a fan of turbonetics because I have seen poor craftsmenship when it comes to some of there turbos. I, however, will be using there turbo for a few months till I get a few more bills and then will upgrade.

Living In the good old VA. must get you over to RH alot, I was there less than a week ago and inquired about the turbo issues said here in these forums. I wasn't surprised to find that 98.9% of the turbos in the stock room were PERCISION.
It seems that there is an over welming amount of *** talkers out there that only listen to others and not go and find out for them selfs(it's true that Honda Tech is one of the best ways to find whats-what), I used to be one of these people, but I want the truth not rumors. I am sick of people putting down companies that have little info to go on, and I'm not just refering to RH. I work for the same industry that you buy from, most of you just read about it in my articles when you purchace various magazines.
