obd-2 ~> obd-1 conversion... state inspection...
just wondering.... i live in NC. not sure how it is anywhere else, but here... 96+ cars (obd-2) get a special inspection where they just plug it into the computer. and then it reads the ecu for any codes to make sure everything is running correctly. if you do the conversion to obd-1 . does that change anything when the inspector is tring to do it as an obd-2 inspection? or will it still rad though the ecu the same way? thanks
No it won't read it. I've tested it before with different scanners.
Not sure why but I believe it has to do with the scanner program (asain vehicles) and the OBD2 adapter on the scanner. Along with the programming in OBD1 ecu's.

$$$$ how u think im going to get my next car to pass. BTW I dont think your car is going to pass with the turbo unless they pass it bc you work there
yes it will !! so what i have 3" exhaust and no cat..haha.. pass the same way it did this year... by using exhaust fumes from a 2k cavi..ha umm... j/k?
If you have a 96+ car, and you made it a obdI you will NEVER pass.
You have to tip the guy, or have hookups.
I say get your dad's corolla inspected, and take the sticker off, and put it on your car.
thats what i dooooooooooooooo
