What is the most restrictive part of the exhaust on a 9 SI????
Is it the cat or muffler? I guess what I am trying to find out is if just an axle back will even really add any power. I would prefer it stock but would like some power gain. Will just a test pipe help my cause? Or is the best bet a cat back whick I really don't want cause I want the car quiet.

rear-section won't add power. I'm environmentally friendly, so i say no to test pipes.
If you want a few extra hp without the noise, use an a'pexi WS exhaust or some other cat-back exhaust that uses a chambered non-straight-through muffler. Well, actually, the GReddy SP is quiet, and it's straight-through, i think. RS*R is good, too, but hard to come by.
