Default cleaning engine bay

What would be the best way to clean the engine bay? How difficult is it? Is it just better to take the car to get it detailed? All help appreciated.

haha if you dont have a new engine dont worry about it because in 3 weeks it will be dirty again...the best way i think to get everything is to just take the car apart and dive in man...but seriousley if you dont have a swap then dont worry about it...once you pull your motor out for a swap you can clean the walls and everything and it will look nice and pretty.....
