INTAKE QUESTION... anyone ever heard of IEN??
whats up,
I just found a two piece IEN cold air intake for my 98 'Lude. And it will only cost $67 with shipping and insurance...
Anyone heard of this company or have this intake. If anyone does, what size is the pipping? I think I'm going to buy it unless I get some neg. feedback about it... Give me a shout....
Thanx,
Travis.

i've seen a similar thread on another prelude forum with a pic posted. the IEN logo is a knockoff of the AEM logo. are you buying this online, if so post the link. its pretty funny. anyway, i would save the money and go for the aem. you get what you pay for.
I see them all the time on ebay... I'm sure they're just a cheap knockoff of the AEM.. I believe that you get what you pay for... so if I were you... I would just save up and get the AEM.
Before I went turbo I had an AEM. When i dynoed my car with an AEM and then with 3 "No Name", the biggest difference that i saw was 1.5 hp........is 150 dollars really worth 1.5 Hp.......
i think you should just make a trip to Home depot and buy yourself some 3" dryer pipe and make your own.
oh here is the link for the ebay one

if you don't feel that aem is worth the money don't buy it. but you should research whatever intake you buy to make sure you are actually gettin something of value. i seriously doubt that IEN dyno tested that intake, its a cheap knockoff product. try injen or iceman, theres plenty of other cai out there that aren't 200+ bucks.

Was going to say the same. It's just an aluminum pipe. I have had both an AEM CAI and a generic knockoff from ebay. They were identical. The generic was $60 shipped. AEM intake = waste of money for name. If you do purchase a generic, just make sure you are getting a high quality filter, or purchase your own K&N filter for it.

I think that the C.A.R.B sticker that the AEM comes with justifies the price tag. You avoid ******* cops, know that you're not polluting (thats a novel thought on these forums) and dont have to worry about smog checks.
