whats misleading about it?? It says right in the description whats going on. Its still a good deal. Buy it,sell the b16, get a C5 and your set with a good condition Type R for under 10k(unless there was something else wrong that I missed)

But the car has a clean title (so they say), why would they swap?

is engine the only thing missing? besides the shift ****?

 

the rear emblim is not red... its from a normal intergra (chrome)

something is weird but still looks like a good deal none the less.

 

I would think that if you can pick it up decently cheap, as long as the frame and chassis are perfect, that the lack of the proper motor shouldn't be too much of a problem. If you can get the car cheap enough, the price of placing a new motor in the car would offset the money you saved buying a type R with a b16 in it.

whats the chassis code for an R? DC5? does that vin number match with the Type-R code?

 

how come the engine serial number looks kinda damaged or erased the last half, or it is just the picture?

 

buy it, then grab a B20 block to put the B16 head on.

A lot of R owners do this, and some dumber things to make big HP, anyhow.

 

The block stamp has been purposely defaced.

The owner may have been a thief.

 

is that GSR rims ? doesnt looks like Type-R rims

The VIN does match a Type-R Chasis code.

 

No VIN on the tranny (you can tell it was there). Defaced engine code...

wasent this the guy that a while back was selling a black ITR with a B18C1, and a Mugen style front end, that also had some body damage?

 

why would somebody steal a B16? But it does look like a good deal to me!

 

If the frame and body are good then it's a good start. Why not keep the engine and put a stroker kit in it. Since the B16A engine is lighter than the B18C5, you'd get a better balanced car. Dunno if you'd get as much power as the B18C5 tho...

Because its free. Also remember that motors come out of cars that also have parts that are very easy to sell. The trans has obviously had its VIN plate removed which can only mean one thing. Its stolen. JDM trans don't have threaded holes plus you can see the impressions. The motor is most likely hot because the serial number has been defaced. I wouldn't touch that car with a 10 foot pole. The engine is obviously hot. My want to give a call to your local law enforcement office before you consider buying that.

 

Did I miss something? They deleted the PS but kept the AC....
