uhhhh......
, I want to add some whp!
but I don´t know which brand should I get. I like both, but prefer the Hart a bit more, cause they are lighter and are in more sizes available.
I´m a little worried about, if such light-weight rims can stand streetdriving without damageing. Anyone knows???!?!?!
17" will look nicer, but hurts acceleration. We have many many curves here in Austria, so a smaller side-wall is for sure better for handling I think. Should i prefer the 17" instead the 16" or is it the other way?
BTW: nizzze link for rim-weights! http://home.earthlink.net/~cvlocas/wheels.html

CP-035s take very little to bend and cost more than Volk wheels; I'd go TE37. 17" with 205/40's isn't much of an overall diameter diff than 15" the stock 195/55's, plus they weigh the same as a stock wheel. I don't notice any difference with my 17" TE's.

if you want to be fast, get some 15" spoons, volks, desmonds, mugens, etc. those are under 9 lbs....
He might want some wider tires , and wide 15" street tires are hard to find.... get some 16" not too heavy, also, diameter doesnt matter THAT much, cause the overall diameter SHOULD be the same, and most of the weight on the outside is what matters most, and it's the tires that contribute to that, but lighter is better...Like a 16" rim and tire combo that weighs the same as stockers should be good, lighter is gonna make it better.....however, if you makethe rim HUGE often times they get heavier. 16s is a good compromise.
why did you use whp ? if you want more torque down there, get 13" rims and slicks.

I was not kidding about my whp comment.
Perhaps you mix up something.
When I have a heavy rim with a big tire I´ll lose more hp in the drive-train. Say 250 hp to crank and 210 to the wheels.
Now with an lighter rim/tire combo I don´t lose so much hp in the drive-train than with the heavier combo. 250 hp to engine and 220 to the wheels. Same effect with an lighter flywheel. More hp to the wheels get free!
When my opinion is not correct, someone should correct me.

Drive the **** out of them. Toronto has some mean streets beat-up from the cold winters.
After about 5k km still straight and true barely any adjustment with wheel weights.

Who can hook me up with Volks or Racing Hart´s with a fair price and ship it to Austria (Europe)? I will pay with Creditcard via paypal.

Are you kidding???? Before I bought my CP-035s, I did alot of price check. All the shops that I called quoted me the same thing, TE37s cost more than CP-035s. The lowest quote I got for 16x7 TE37s on Yok A520 225/45s was $2200. I got my 16x7 CP-035s on Yok A520 225/45s for $2040. Also, CP-035s are quite strong, dude. I've taken them to track event and have been auto-x'ed with them since I bought them back in March. There's no sign of bent or damaged at all. And BTW, both TE37s and CP-035s weigh approx. 11.2 lbs each for 16x7.
I used to have some exotics called SSR Type-X's in 15".....the lightest damn rims I ever owned..and solid as hell!
Unfortunately, I warped one...when I hit a barrier in my old integra and gave them to my mechanic for some free work!

Does anyone hav any pics of a PY ITR with bronze CP-035's? I was thinking of getting those and always wondered what they would look like. Thanks!

BTW- have you done anything else to your R... do you have any 1/4 mile times, and with what mods? Wondering in particular how the R runs in the 1/4 mile with bolt-ons and 17 inch TE-37's.
Thanks,
jon
