major rust, need help! Pictures*
is this beyond repair? i dunno if its even worth messin with? Its got a hole in the fender liner aswell so waters gettin inside the body, hmmm

just a rear fender piece? cause as you can see the inside of the fender (the lining) is also rusting away so I was just wondering? maybe some rust inhibitor?
it is hard to find crx rear corner pannels to weld in , and even if you do it will cost a fortune, and you will still have to fill and smooth over welds with fiberglass or bondo, with glazing puddy. I had a 1970 ford torino GT, there was a small portion of the rear corner rusted out , not nearly as bad as that though. what we did was buy the flat sheet metal, then bend it as best as we could, and weld in place. This leaves a good solid foundation for the body m guys to work with. I then brought the car to a body shop that is owned buy a good family friend. he did the resaping and fiberglass work, looked brand new in the end, you just have to find some one that will do it for a good price but that does good work, cause it aint a easy job. try autobodyparts.com they are one of the biggest oem body parts places around online. i know that they carry hoods, front fenders brand new left overs from the factory , but rear corner patch panels may be hard to find ,,,good luck!
well... yah i had the same kind of problem, but mine was on the drivers side, i also had wholes in my fender wall and rust in my door sill, for the part(rear panel of a junk car) and the body shop work i payed around a grand.... I kind of wish i would have just got a different car or a shell, but now that i have it done its done, so im just going to stick to this car untill its all clean, it may cost me alot but at the end ill be happy. If you really want to keep your car and have the money to fix it a good body shop can do it, but its going to be hard to find a body shop that does rust repair.

Well, that's as bad as i've ever seen. If you are looking at this car for purchase, consider it as a parts car, if at all. If you already have it, I would definitely look into getting another car, as the repairs to this CRX are going to be just as expensive (if not more so) than buying a whole new EF. That CRX is going to need not just the rear quarters and fenderwells, but probably also new sunroof drainage tubes, and a new rear bumper. In addition, you may find horrors upon removing the rear bumper, they tend to rust badly behind it. If you live in a climate that salts the roads in the winter (and I assume you do), consider an HF or DX model CRX, as they do not have the sunroof drainage tube rust out problem.
O man that is bad just like my crx. If you know how to play with fiberglass and bondo and putty you can make it look better but never make it like new. Its not worth to pay someone to do it. Just fix it little bit and look for better looking CRX shell and start from there. I will post pics next week how my CRX is doing.
Goddamn my friend those 1/4's are fucked. That is bad rust. If you love the car then weld a new 1/4 in, but it makes me wonder how rusty the underside is. Thank god my part in Jersey is rust free.
If anyone can help me with my rust problem can you go check out my thread at https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=509636 Its on the crx, but i thought it should go in appearance but now no one is answering.. So maybe some of you guys know =/

... If the mold is of the wheel well how do you know they are the same, why dont you just mold the other side of the crx?

the easy and ghetto way would fill the area with foam and fiberglass over it when it has been shaped. that would only be a temporary fix though since you would only be fixing the problem instead of eliminating the problem.
contact this guy (hes in toronto)
cashcrx@hotmail.com he can either fix that if you bring it down or can send you the rear section

2 years ago, before i knew anything about body work, i just sanded it down a bit and packed mine with bondo, lol, it wasnt even fiberglass. It lasted atleast 2 years and it was just starting to fall out now, i think the fiberglass will last longer than 2 years if its done right.
