Tilt steering wheel when there is none
My hatch never came with tilt steering but it seems that it is not quite at the top. The wheel blocks part of the speedometer/tach and this can get annoying.
I was wondering if this was the original position or if the previous owner lowered it a little? Is there any way to raise it to the top if it was never adjustable?

I really doubt that anyone lowered the steering wheel positioin in your car.
I thought about doing it in mine but im a lazy ***. If they did lower it,
they would put some kind of washer on the 2 12mm screw posts. If you
cant figure it out let me know and I will explain it more in depth. If you want
to put a tilt wheel on your car I have 3 left for sale in the classifieds forum.

I dont understand what you said but:
92-95 have diff. steering wheels then the 96+. They do not mount the same.
96+ screw to the steering colum and 92-95 go on a post and screw to that.

no, you are not correct. 95 and 96 are totally different cars. 96 already has the tilt wheel, why do you need a different column?

92 - 95 civics are the same as integra's
The ek is the odd ball out.
I 96 civic wheel will not bolt up to a 95. You would have to change to a 95 hub on the back of the wheel.

thats what I thought. But in essence you could use a 92-95 column and steering wheel and mount it in an EK. right?
SO in answer to this guys question you can put a tilt steering from an EK in his EG put you will have to use the EKS steering wheel.

no, you can't. i already told you. 95 and 96 are completely different cars. 96-00 are different from 92-95. you have to find a steering column from a 96-00 civic.

I just did this on my EG. It's actually pretty easy if you have a Helms. Should take an hour or two depending how fast you work.

it took me and a friend about half an hour to take the steering column out of 2 00 si's, and put 1 back in. he had a theft recovery si that needed a new ignition, so we took the steering column out of a si he had for parts. you don't need a helms or anything, it's just common sense.
