go to the junk yard with a pair of dykes and cut them out of a ex, just cut the whole ecu harness so you have more pins for later on

Its wicked easy to get the pins OUT OF and IN TO honda plugs.

Look at the harness, with a small flat head screw driver, pry up the little.. "flap" you will see what I'm talking about. It has to be "unhooked" before you can remove any pins.

Get a pair of solid needle nose plyers.

Grip the pin you are trying to remove very carefully and as straightly as possible.
PULL - ALOT. Pin will come out undamaged. (Vice helps alot to put the harness in)

Installation is easy, again just unhook the "Flap" on your harness, and insert pin by hand, then just push it in with the needlenose.
Close flap. You are done. Congrats you have added a Pin to ECU harness.

Good luck

honda is closed.... engine has to be running by tomorrow afternoon. but thanks for the info on getting them out. i just tried to use one that i took out of my crx ecu clips.... they are too big. so i guess that idea is out? anybody else have an idea? are there any wires in my stock 94 cx ecu harness that wont be used or serve a purpose with the d16z6 in it running p28? maybe i could find one that no longer has a purpose and pop it out, then move it to the slot i need and re-wire it.?

You can run the engine w/o the vtec and oil pressure switch hooked up, you'll just get a check engine light. I wouldn't rev the engine past 5k though..

I don't believe there are any unused wires in the ecu harness that you could salvage...

And btw.. last I checked Honda doesn't sell pins of any sort. you have to buy the whole harness or pirate from another.
