Default Kill Switch Questions

Just wondering a few things.

1. Is it better to have a kill from your battery or from your Fuel Pump?
2. The fuel pump wiring is under the rear cargo storage box right?
3. Does anyone have a kill switch wiring diagram?

Thanks

If you want to have a kill switch that kills the car , you have to kill the power going to the alternator and the battery, so it will turn the car off. Do you have the battery in the back is that why you want a kill switch

Screw that work man....AutoZone, 8 bucks, spare 15amp fues and a half hour.

I put mine on the ECU fues circuit. Never had a problem with it on both my CRXs and kills the engine. For some of the slower ones, if the cars running it will turn it off. It will turn over but wont start.

Killing battery power means reseating your sterio stations and clock....go with the simple route. If you want some simple instructions IM or mail me.

I went fuel cut off, mounted it with a bunch of other identicle switches that control other things, also added a second hidden switch.

if your trying to figure out the wiring just pick the yellow wire from the fuel pump cut it and solder in a switch.....you can do this with any wire that'll kill the car, (ecu, battery, fuel pump, etc)

Just start your car and cut an important looking wire, if the car dies then you've got a good wire for a kill switch.....

Personally I'd switch the starter ground, I forgot to reconnect it when I did some work once and car just acted like it was a POS that took like 20 tries to start (although it never really would). Really confused me would do the trick just fine. Also if you cut off the entire battery and still have an alarm (or a radio with the newer coded cars) you could run into problems.

Well this is a good debate going, but can someone tell me where the wiring is for the fuel pump? Is it under the rear cargo hold?

the wiring also runs down the left hand side of the car all the way up into the dash too, you can splice into it anywhere along there..................
