vtec x over point in 92 GSR?
Coupled with VTEC, you can see the GS-R engine has three stages of operation.
Stage 1 (0-4400 RPM): Low-lift cam lobe and long intake runners.
Stage 2 (4400-5800 RPM): High-lift cam lobe and long intake runners.
Stage 3 (5800+ RPM): High-lift cam lobe and short intake runners.
Stage 1 (0-4400 RPM): Low-lift cam lobe and long intake runners.
Stage 2 (4400-5800 RPM): High-lift cam lobe and long intake runners.
Stage 3 (5800+ RPM): High-lift cam lobe and short intake runners.
Gen2 GSR's do NOT have the dual runner inlet manifolds!!!!!! So you should have one x-over point which i always thought to be around 5000rpm, 5800rpm seems a little too high for that engine, but hey who am i to know????
Clegboy.....you is smokin some strange weed if you think any GSR came with 3 stage vtec...the only honda with 3 stage vtec is a JDM 1.5 civic LSi VTEC which is possibly the weakest vtec engine ever produced, it was capable of almost 50mpg and produced an amazing earth shattering "OMG I cant believe honda made this pathetic engine" 83bhp from variable valve timing/lift technology...but then again...put a banana on the market and some monkey will buy it
