Spark Plugs are white after 6 hr Hondata Tune
Do I need a better ignition system? I am tuned at .82 Lambda in the upper level of boost (Approx. 12:1 A/F) Are their other things that cause plugs to be white.
thanks
Corey

corey,
an off white color is normal. you don't want black soot, and you don't want evidence of preignition/detonation/too hot--which are the extremes. look at these pics, they are actually pretty good to compare to:

pay most attention to the color of the insulation.
Oh, corey, I now have 5 people all confirm that Hondata's 3bar map calibration is wrong, as is the ignition datalogging. so, use your boost gauge as your absolute.

After looking at that webpage, my plugs look pretty similar to "Normal" I guess i was looking for more of a brown color. The insulator looks great on my car.
Torin- Thanks for the heads up with the Hondata.
