energy suspension bushing replacement...sleeve or no sleeve
I am replacing the bushings in my front and rear LCAs. All the sites I have seen on bushings say to remove the outer metal sleeve with the rubber and inner sleeve. They don't mention replacing the outer sleeve when putting it back together.
I just checked the energy suspension web site and they say to reuse the original outer metal sleeve.
Since I have already hacked up the original outer metal sleeve, do I need to get new ones or just do without? Does it serve any purpose?
Thanks for any input. I was planning on putting in the new bushings tonight.

When i did my suspension with ES system, i did not reuse the sleeves. The bushings are think as it is to create a tight fit, wich renders the sleeves useless.
just clean the inner surface of the arms from any imperfections and press the new bushings in.
good luck on the project.

you only need to reuse the metal sleeve when using the ES bushing to replace the trailing arm bushing. that specific bushing is not sold in the kit.
