Default Engergy Suspension Bushings

I bought some ES trailing arm bushings for my EG a while back and i just found them. The bushings didnt come with a metal sleeve around the bushing, so does that mean i need try and take the sleeve off of the old bushing and put it around the ES one, or do i even need it?

You torch out the stock bushing but keep the outter race on the trailing arm. the es bushing is pressed into the outter race.
