Question About Finishing My Paint???
^agreed^
just remember that the paint itself will take about 2 weeks to cure, so NO HARD SCRUBBING on the surface
lets see some pics of the finished product dude

yea wet sand it, and buff the hell out of it. but i dont know cause u are supposed to let the paint sure before u realy touch it, so i hope that polishing and buffing out the dust marks won tear up the rest of the paint..
MEGUIARS MIRROR GLAZE PROFESSIONAL
1000grit, 25sheets in a pack
my dad uses this finishing paper on all his jobs and it is very high quality.....i'm not too sure where you'd find it though, just make sure that whatever you get, its over 1000grit and FINISHING paper

You can just use 1000 then to 1200. You minus well wetsand the whole car to get all the orange peel n fish eye's and drips (if any) out ,then buff. A lot of manual labor but in the end it'll look like glass.

can i ask a 10am dumb question (well, maybe it's a dumb question all the time)
what is wet sanding?
when i bought my POS civic, the guy had replaced the hood with another oem hood, but didn't paint it...so it's still flat black...the surface is really rough, and i've had suggestions about wetsanding it, then putting a clearcoat/finish... i always scratch my head becuase i don't know what wetsanding is... any help? anyone know how to make a flat-black hood (or side mirror), shine a little bit better?

no such thing as a dumb question bro.... wet sanding is exactly what it sounds like....you get a bucket of water, and fine grit 1000grit sandpaper....you basically sand parts of the car down with the WET sandpaper......you can work your way up from 1000 to 1200 to 1500, then simply buff the finished product with a glazing compound, and voila, it looks like a new clearcoat
