5th Gen Console Ash Trickery
This is a goofy question.. I noticed the ash tray is lit up from a green bulb behind it in the console.. Has anyone done any trickery with the light.. I dont need the ashtray.. i dont smoke..

well..you could put a VAFC in there, if you've got a dremel and some patience. you could make a sunglasses cubby with some ABS plastic and felt.. hmm...how about a change bank..you know, those ones with the quarter|dime|nickel slots mounted in there.. anythin's possible. i was thinking about doing one of those myself.

well.. fashionable lights = ricey..in my opinion.
this is a stretch..but if you're into the matrix, you could put a few mirrors in there with tiled japanese text in columns.. that plus green light would look cool.

hahah.. you have some tight ideas man... lol.. If you know where I can get mirrors with tiny etched symbols on em.. i will do it.. that idea is great.. just unrealistic

if you are really serious i know that here in austin the mall has a kiosk(sp?) that can do that.

yep, that's a kiosk. if you give me the demensions of the unit and a few dollars i could have it laser etched for you...haha. my favorite idea is the change holder. when i finish making it i'll post up some pics.
