I wanna run a full race manifold on my 4gen but my radiator is too big. I see alot of these civics running the half ones. Can i use a civic radiator and still not over heat?

 

i doubt it/ i wouldnt try it.. i run warm as is.. now i got 4 fans.. that should fix that problem.. hehe

 

btw u can go custom... just do similar to kiwi setup ull be fine...

 

I assume you are getting rid of your a/c. So you might want to do what i did.



Get slimline fans and place them where your a/c condensor used to be. Then just wire your fans opposite of how they were wired (since your fans are on the opposite side now). That should clear up about 2-4 inches of space for you.

i did what he did but i got them mounted on my condensor pushing.. so far soo good.. according to dataloggin temps havent seen above 200... yet at least..

there is a h22a powered eg civic here in town built by mike maggoire at SRD ( http://www.superiorracing.com ) , he runs a MaxRev manifold... anyway he is running the fluidyne radiator for his civic, with no problems. to recap, eg+h22a+turbo+civic raditor = running fine.

 

anthony.. when u datalog like these kinda temps... what are your water and intake temps running?

 

I believe my water temps were around 188-190ish driving around the city. Intake temps however i cant remember off the top of my head, i want to say in the upper green level. Let me know what you are hitting and i'll let you know if that sounds about right.

 

other day intake temps were ate 160 in the stop and go **** ... it was hot that day.. water temp around 196
