Default guys w/ the 98 spec jdm itr 4-1 header on their ED's

would any of you guys have pics of how low the header sits above the ground? I have a JUN header but i want to use a 4-1 itr header cuz of the heat sheilds. I live in cali so i'm paranoid, and i want more of a stock look so cops don't give me any BS.

thanks!
Jimmy

Ok this is probably a stupid question, but does the ITR header fit on the a6 motor?

Nope, as you probably know the a6 is a D series motor. The ITR motor is a B series engine. In general most ITR, other B series parts work on most other B motors like the B16, B18 , B20. The same is true in a lot of cases in the D series family. While there are some parts that are interchangable between D series and B series such as sensors, and throttle body on 92+ manifolds, in most cases you can't use B part on D parts and likewise.

If you want a heat shield, you can have someone weld on some brackets, and bolt it on. Thats what I did, it worked wonders. If you want good clearence, go with a 4-2-1. My 2 cents. Ryan

PS, I am running a dc, and I passed smog, and visual with this heat shield method.

the HCP mounts position the motor so low. the oil pan looks like its also in danger. i have HAsport mounts, the motor sits higher, but the clearance is still poor with my jdm dc 4-1 header

yeah the lights look good. I should of just had you ship them to me haha. It was hectic driving down there while it was raining hard.

by the looks of the pics you guys posted, screw the jdm 4-1. I need my cars to be dumped most of the time haha. except when i take it to the track and all though.
