Default aem bypass valve location

i was wondering if the location of the BPV would make any difference?
would i lose HP? would it not work right?
if i installed it near the filter(the second to last bend) would it be fine?

thanks

If you put the bypass down by the filter, it's obviously more likely to suck up water. Probably not a good idea.

Closer to the intake manifold will benefit u in the long run, or how about an open intake manifold.

Just make sure you put it on the horizontal part of the CAI. If you put on the vertical part, it may not get enough suction to work properly.
