Default port matching question

how much effort will it take to port match my header to fit a ZC? How many hours will this project be, and should I just use a dremel or something?

schweet- thanks- did you use a dremel, or did you just use a file? did you use the exhaust gasket to match up to the right size?

yes get the gasket and put it on your header and use a pen to outline it. then get a dremal and start sanding, it wont take that long cause theres not that much you have to dremal

What header are you using? I'm debating grabbing a 92-95 one but the port matching makes me kinda iffy. I've dremeld other stuff but not ports...let me know how yours goes.

I have the JDM 4-2-1 that came with my ZC, I am putting a 92-95 EX downpipe on it because it sticks down too low (my downpipe scrapes as it is lowered about 2.5). I have also thought about putting on an aftermarket header, will that really give me much of an advantage? By the way, the car has Cold Air Intake, high flow cat, and custom 2.25" piping back to a dual outlet muffler (looks very stock, just doesn't sound that way).

i've got an 88-91 civic/crx header, i dunno what brand - i think that it's an ebay special, but it was super cheap & I was really bored w/ teh A6- it made a difference on that so I figure it should do ok for teh time being on the ZC. i will report on sunday

you can't use a file you have to use a grinder

For little jobs like that a dremel is fine...use a grinding stone bit.
