Default no filter in stock air box

would it be ok to run my car with out the filter in the stock air box for bout half a day...while the filter dries out after i clean it...

the chances of that causing any real harm are very slim... nothing more than half a day should be fine.

I personally wouldn't...it's not worth the risk, but hey, it's your car. Filters are there for a reason.

use a hairdryer (on cold). it'll be dry in 15 minutes.

the filter must dry naturally, anything used to speed up the drying process can damage the filter, at least if it's a K&N.

when you took out the air filter, you should see all those dirt and stuff. Do you want to get those in your engine???
