Default Power steering removal......

Does removing the power steering actually benefit anything?

reduce weight and if you are actually racing your car, it give a better feel for the road.

People have claimed a 3whp increase across the rpm band. (dyno tested)

The power steering is already removed I was just wondering if it actually benefited the car and its whp at all.

No power steering will increase muscle strength n an appearance of buldging shapes of the arm.

J/K 3 hp increase n less weight, don't be intmidated when u have to park, you'll get used to it.

I hear the AC total is around 50lbs, not bad.

I beleave you have to buy a part to keep the airflow functional though, I beleave its off of the 97 ITRs that had optional AC.

its a very minimal gain, id rather leave it in and now have to work out my arms everytime i turn the steering wheel from a stopped position

hey guys my power steering broke one day when i let my friend drive my car. when i popped the hood the two bolts holding the pump on were broken so it fell down a few inches and i guess the belt just fell off. but anyways i like it without power steering as compared to with it so i never fixed it. but ive heard that since it is not removed completely my steering could lock up completely one day. i mean im gonna take it out anyways along with the ac and cruise control(all useless items)but do you think the locking up is a possibility?
