Default No VTEC engadgement

Okay, I have a 95 Integra LS with a GS-R swap. I have been running a chipped p28 ecu with mugen program in which vtec hitsat 5800 rpm.

Well I installed a VAFC on my car some time ago, and lowered the vtec to 4500 rpm (low to high cam) and 4400 rpm (high to low cam). I also did some leaning out on the fuel...

I just recently purchased a stock OBD1 p72, so before I installed it, I reset my VAFC. When I reset my VAFC the setting went back to normal with fuel settings at 0 and vtec engadgment at 5800 rpm (low to high cam) & 5400 rpm (high to low).

After I installed my OBD1 p72, and checked the VAFC settings, the VTEC setting was still the same which is weird because I thought the stock VTEC settings on a p72 is 4400 vtec engadgment.

So I just lowered the VTEC settings to 4500/4400, and drove my car. Well my car isn't hitting VTEC anymore.....I don't hear it at all, which was the never the case before. I have always heard VTEC in the past whether or not it was set at 4500 rpm or 5800 rpm with the chipped p28.

Help!

Low on oil? Bad VTEC solenoid? You might want to try the tech forum too.

Are you sure you actually heard VTEC before and not the secondary IM runners opening up?

Unless you have an exhaust on your car, you will not hear VTEC. What you will hear is your secondary butterflies opening at 5700.

I could hear vtec loud and clear @ 4500 rpm before, and it got even deeper @ 5800 rpm...Now I just hear it at 5800 rpm with the p72.....(weird)
