DEI Exhaust wrap making car smoke ?

Default DEI Exhaust wrap making car smoke ?

Well i had to put some wrap on my DP last night because my return line is too close and ws getting messed up , so i run the car to work today and its smoking out the hood and smells like ****. its coming fromt he material on the dp , does that go away in time , is it normal?

i have heard this happen before, did you make your own DP or buy a custom one from someone? Depending on what the DP is made of it could continue doing that and possible become brittle and fall apart do to heat not getting out cause of the wrap.

it was a custom one made from aluminzed steel . what other option do i have? i was melting my return line from the dp being too close to it

how can u be melting your return line, you should have a braided line and hopefully not a rubber hose? I would hope i'm wrong but change it out if you do.

i have a stainless braided line , but form it being like on the dp for 6 months now , its starting to take its toll on the return line . not punctured yet , but it aint far off.
