swepco 201. trust me on this. the redline stuff, sure, a good oil but the swepco 201 rocks in the s2000 diff.

my s2000 is a 2000 and i bearly hit 30k miles on there today....i am considering going with the swepco 201......i found many sites that sell it for 42.94 or so..it said something about 80w90.... is the the one i am looking to get? also i am considering change my rear diff...and getting a new clutch...any suggestions on whether or not to wait and get the clutch and diff then switch to swepco 201 or just put it in there anyway?

I've used Swepco before and wasn't "thrilled." Mobil 1 syn gear fluid works well, is affordable, and is easy to get.

redline has been proven to show wear on s2000's after just a short amount of driving.

I'm using Almasol and it feels great.

, the s2ki guys swear by it. I'd say go with either Mobil1 or the LE. The mobil1 is much easier to get as vapor already said.

And Imperial Oil Owns Mobil 1. How can you mess with a company that can throw Multi-Millions into Research and Development? Amsoil is some little company in the states.I dont' know about Motul. Imperial Oil makes a billion a year in profit and can spend big money on research. And if Amsoil or Motul was better wouldn't Sportscars roll out from the factory with it? Porsche's and Vette's roll out of the factory with Mobil 1. Nuff' said.

You learn something new every day. And to think I thought Exxon Mobil owned Mobil 1?? I'm probably wrong in thinking that Exxon Mobil owns Imperial too.

I dunno, never tried it but my friend that does the gear swaps and LSD installs says that LE stuff is THICK! I've never had any problems running the mobil 1 on the track nor on the streets so why try something else? There's no such thing as a magical diff fluid, and for sunny so cal, I don't need stuff that works in really cold weather.

Sounds good to me........... I guess it really does come down to what brand the individual is most comfortable with.

I won't use anything but Castrol Syntec 10w 30 or 5w 30 in my engines - and no one can tell me otherwise, but again, that's just my crazy feeling that Castrol is excellent oil.

Well, I am currently using LE607 diff oil. Difference? Not sure.
But it was recommanded by several other owners so I went with it.

Now, transmission oils in other hand, GMFMSM oil was big change from OEM.
