Yeah, I have a 2.5" carsound w/no probs. makes the exhaust a few dB louder though. The flanges need to be welded onto the cat as it comes as a universal unit.

Hey guys, I plan on only modding my car with a DC Sport header, K&N drop-in airfilter, and a Thermal Classic exhaust. Should I order a carsound cat with a 2.25” inlet/outlet or a 2.5” inlet/outlet??

Right now I have my H23 engine but I plan on upgrading it soon with a JDM H22. I plan on using my car primarily on the track/autoXing. I want it to directly bolt up to my header/exhaust perfectly….without any modifications too. Any recommendations??
I am planning on buying it from http://www.testpipe.com for $95.00 shipped to me with the flanges already welded to it.

ideally, you'd want a consistent diameter throughout the entirety of the exhaust. since the DC header and thermal exhaust are only 2.25" i'd just stick with 2.25" makes little sense going from a 2.25" through 2.5" then back to 2.25". but i'll sell you my 2.5" if you want.

Me??? Get a Greddy header?? If this is directed to me...I can't get a Greddy right now. I have an H23 motor in my car. I will get a Greddy for my H22 when I get it.

DC Sport header is a good addition to my H23....besides...I got it used for $25 shipped to me.
