tuning plays a huge part in gas mileage. many people with high compression and higher hp motors are still getting around 25-30mpg.

35-45mpg here

12.5-13.0CR
230-235whp

ITBs can drop that quite a bit. but still well over 20

275 miles on a full tank.
Lately barely 240 miles on a full tank because my plugs are so toasted.

went thru a tank a week sometimes ... if I had ot guess maybe 18mpg, only because I'm always getting on it ... if driving around "on vaccum" all the time prolly get 35mpg but whats the point of that ...

edit: oh yeah ITBs gonna burn alot more fuel because vaccum load map is very miniscule, manifold will give much better mileage ... I myself prefer ITBs, have them on both race car and street car ... if I had my way I'd put them on my dodge truck too ...

Have you done a tune-up lately? Check your plugs/wires, maybe replace fuel filter, check air filter..

I should change my plugs/wires, or just slow down.

38K on the clock, I've been pulling ~25-26mpg

you mean VX.

Its a little trick that i only do for myself because its my own car and I drive it.
Not something i normally do for others. The average tune gets you about 30mpg
minimum. Toget the max, the car tends to do.... "strange" things. I can put up
with a lot.....most cant.

Yea, strange was the wrong word to use with such inquiring minds

yes if you boost you're gonna get less mileage ... unless you just drive on vaccum all day long ...

I know this is a old post but I didnt want to start a new one. Well I have a 2.1L b18c1 and was wondering what my mpg is going to be like. And when I get it tuned what should I tell the tuner that I want the most out of my motor but good gas mileage? And what are you 2.0L+ people getting for gas mileage and your setup. And any suggestions on how to achieve this would be great.
