H&R Springs with KYB-AGX shocks for my 97?

Default H&R Springs with KYB-AGX shocks for my 97?

Would the H&R springs that drop 1.5" r/ 1.75"f be a compatible match with KYB-AGX struts? If not, what would be a better set-up? I want a mild drop, no more than 1.75. What should I expect to pay for those? Will I need a camber kit?

Yes.

Might think about coilovers, just in case you want to raise/lower the car in the future.

Around $500, depending on what kinda deals you find.

You wont NEED one, but why not put one on there? It will only help.

PERFECT!!!

My 97 hatch: H&R Sports, KYB AGX's (set at 2f/4r), (rear camber washer mod), alignment, Rota C8s 15" on Bridgestone Potenza Pole-Position S-03s 195-50-15, and SI rims w/ the same tires.

Cost:
H&R - $150
KYB AGX - $320
Camber thing - $2
Alignment - $50

Thanks man, especially for the pics. I wanted to get an idea of how close that would bring me to the ground.

How hard is the install? I'm not familiar with suspension components and hesitant to start tearing things apart.

Suspension isnt that bad. Worst thing about it is getting the bolts off. You have a newer car, so it may not be as bad for you. Just make sure you have a book of somesort to help you and a decent amount of time. Its really not too hard though.

No Problem.

Installation isn't that hard, you just need a spring compressor, 14/17/19mm rachets, needle nose plyers, and a alan or torx or whatever wrench, and a etc etc.

I think the hardest part is just getting to the rear upper perches, becuase you either have to take out the rear speakers and get to it, or bend the whole panel forward to get to them. My brother has a 98 hatch, and we just did his this weekend. Took like 3 hours, but we had some tight *** bolts and the hardest time getting the front to line up.

Also, you might want to do the rear washer mod trick for correcting your camber. I changed my rear camber to -1 (stock spec) and my front stayed at -1.5 (-.5 more than stock spec).

Afterwards, I got an alignment, to get my toe in/out corrected. After 1 year and 10,000 miles of use, I haven't had one suspension problem and the tires wear evenly. Not all cars are the same, so good luck.
