Default Calling all you D series masters

I am wondering about the 8 black bolts on top of the cylinder head for this motor. What are they for and they are all loose on the head that i have. what is their purpose and should they be tight or loose? Also on the first cylinder, two of the valves are sticking out like a mm or 2 . how do i correct this problem. I dont know how to get a picture up but i hope someone can help me out with this problem.
DO i need to get new valves? anyone know a deal on them Thanks

According to specs. YOu need to get a picture shared first! So that we can truly verifiy what we think your describing.

See my post above for directions on how to do it.
