How much CFM is needed to keep the AC condensor properly cooled on a B16?
We'll a while ago I swapped out the stock AC condensor fan and replaced it with a Rapid Cool Electric Fan by Hayden. It's basically a slim fan similar to Spal and all those others although you can buy this one from Orielly and Autozone. While driving during the day with the AC on in Houston, which is very hot, I started to hear a noise and noticed that my AC compressor is spitting out freon from the valve on the compressor. Come to find out, it only does that when there is too much pressure in the lines which is a result from the fan not cooling the AC condensor properely. I only have this problem during the day when it is hot outside. What I need to know is how much CFM is needed to properly keep the AC condensor cooled? The 10" fan I have now pushes out 650 cubic feet per minute free airflow, and 500 cubic feet per minute airflow across a typical radiator. I know it's not on a radiator, but I am just using what it say's on the box as reference.
I have the option of going to a 12" fan of the same brand that pushes 850 cfm free airflow, and 675 cfm across a typical radiator.
Any help would be great, thank's!
I went with the 12" fans for Condensor and Rad.!
I have yet to try it out, But I am hoping it will work out being Im in FLA!!!
BTW...the 12" fan is pain to fit in there right!

You'll probably need the larger version. Find out what stock is and go from there. If the stock one was working, then you have to find one equivalent or better.

i have 2 9" fans directly on my condensor... but im a lude.. mines setup different.. the stock ones had to suck through the radiator.. i think this will keep head temps down on the ac..so it will cool inside better... woo hoo
i just moved mine to the front of the condensor and it blows a lot. it's still mounted with the same airflow direction and it fits nicely between fmic and condensor.
